WHY WORLD WAR II CAUSED THE CREATION OF THE UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS?
A good starting point for this series of posts is Adolf Hitler's own words and thoughts, before World War II. Why? We need to know who educated him and influenced him, including which foreigners.
Mein Kampf (PDF) by Adolf Hitler in English
Zweites Buch (Secret Book) (PDF) by Adolf Hitler in English
The Zweites Buch is an unedited transcript of Adolf Hitler's thoughts on foreign policy written in 1928; it was written after Mein Kampf and was never published in his lifetime. The authenticity of this book has been verified by Josef Berg (former employee of the Nazi publishing house Eher Verlag), and Telford Taylor (former Brigadier General U.S.A.R., and Chief Counsel at the Nuremberg war-crimes trials) who, after an analysis made in 1961, commented: "If Hitler's book of 1928 is read against the background of the intervening years , it should interest not scholars only, but the general reader.
KEY EVENTS LEADING TO END OF WORLD WAR II
World War II Timeline
On 7 May 1945 Germany agreed to an unconditional surrender. On 6 and 9 August 1945 two atomic bombs (Little Boy and Fat Man) were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. On 14 August 1945, Japan Agreed to an unconditional surrender.
THE UNITED NATIONS CHARTER
The United Nations Charter is the treaty that established the United Nations. It was signed at the UN Conference on International Organization in San Francisco, California, USA on 26 June 1945, by 50 of the 51 original member countries (Poland was not represented at the conference and signed it later). On 24 October 1945, it entered into force after being ratified by the five permanent members of the Security Council — the Republic of China, France, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics the United Kingdom, and the United States.As a charter, it is a constituent treaty, and all members are bound by its articles. The Charter states that obligations to the United Nations prevail over all other treaty obligations. Most countries in the world have now ratified the Charter. One notable exception is the Holy See, which has chosen to remain a permanent observer state. Full Text of UN Charter HERE
Article 1 of the Charter includes
(2) To develop friendly relations among nations based on respect for the principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples, and to take other appropriate measures to strengthen universal peace;
(3) To achieve international co-operation in solving international problems of an economic, social, cultural, or humanitarian character, and in promoting and encouraging respect for human rights and for fundamental freedoms for all without distinction as to race, sex, language, or religion;
THE UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS (UDHR)
When it became apparent after World War II what atrocities had been committed by Nazi Germany, the overwhelming consensus within the world community was that the United Nations Charter did not sufficiently Define The Rights Of Individuals. It was therefore decided to establish a universal declaration which clearly specified these human rights in detail.>>>> Go To This Post For Numerous UDHR Translations:

On 10 December 1948, the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted and proclaimed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. After this historic event, the Assembly called upon all Member countries to publicize the text of the Declaration and "to cause it to be disseminated, displayed, read and expounded principally in schools and other educational institutions, without distinction based on the political status of countries or territories."
The 30 articles of the UDHR have led to the establishment of numerous international treaties, regional human rights instruments, national constitutions and laws.
We know today, various countries, businesses and individuals are ignoring the existence of the UDHR and many human rights laws.
UDHR - Article 30 Nothing in this Declaration may be interpreted as implying for any State, group or person any right to engage in any activity or to perform any act aimed at the destruction of any of the rights and freedoms set forth herein.
